My name is Loretta Haley, and I am so excited to join LAMB as the G/T Specialist! I have been in education for almost 20 years, first as a classroom teacher for Kindergarten through fourth grade and over the last 8 years as a K-6 G/T Specialist. I completed my undergrad studies at Texas Woman's University and my master's degree at Lamar University. My goal as a G/T Specialist is to provide students with experiences that engage curiosity through innovative and critical thinking!

Tammy Jo Burns
This is Ms. Burns's first year at the Leadership Academy at Mitchell Blvd, and she absolutely loves it!
Ms. Burns was born and raised in the Texas Panhandle, but moved to the Fort Worth area over 20 years ago. She has been an educator for 25 years and has taught all areas of business and computer classes at both the junior high and high school level. She followed her dream and became a librarian over 15 years ago, spending all of that time at the high school level until this year.
She has a Bachelor's of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with a specialization in Business and History. She also has a Master's Degree in Library and Information Science with a certificate in Youth Services.
Ms. Burns has a cat named Ajax (who sometimes thinks he's a dog) and spends her free time with her family, reading, writing, and binging her favorite television shows.
Her favorite thing is seeing a child's face light up when they find a book they love!
