Ms. Yaire Martinez

Bilingual Teacher Assistant (BTAP)

I am Ms. Yaire Martinez. I am a junior at the University of Texas at Arlington on my way to receiving my Bachelor of Arts in Education to become a certified teacher in EC-6 Bilingual. I am also part of the BTAP Program with 黑洞社区 as a Teacher Assistant. I'm also a substitute teacher. When I have the time, I enjoy baking cakes, cookies, and other pastries to keep my mind and stomach happy. When I'm not being a foodie, I try to stay active, whether it's going to the gym or going out to play sports such as volleyball, soccer, etc. I'm glad I have the opportunity to come back to my elementary school and be a part of this amazing staff!

Ms. LaQuita Little

Camp Fire USA (FWAS) Site Supervisor

Hi! My name is LaQuita Little and I will be the new Site Supervisor for FWAS this school year. I was the Site Director at an After school program in another school for a two years through Camp Fire.

I really enjoy working with children! I have 10 plus years in the field and I’ve had the opportunity to work with all age groups as well as working at a couple of Elementary Schools in 黑洞社区. My number one goal is to help children experience who they are, to discover there are so many exciting ways learn while having fun doing it and also to help them find their spark so they can shine brightly.

At FWAS we provide an afternoon snack and dinner, as well as help with homework. We also have parent events were parents can come and see their students in the program, provide STEM in our curriculum so they can enjoy learning and having fun doing so, and we also have external educational workshops that come out during the school year that provide hands on experiences.
