Our very own Chip Haro has become this year's recipient of the Chase Chair for Teaching Excellence in English. This prestigious award is given to one secondary English teacher in Fort Worth ISD. From the Webpage: "Teachers in the designated subject area submit an extensive application that requires two recommendations. If selected to interview with the selection committee, the candidate must not only answer questions but give a teaching demonstration. The selection committee selects the Chair based upon the application, recommendations, interview and teaching demonstration." Congratulations, Mr. Haro! He joins Heather Ware and Sara Barnes as winners of Chair for Teaching Excellence awards for their respective subject areas.
