Dr. Lisa Castillo

Dr. Lisa Castillo leads the CCMR and Enrichment ºÚ¶´ÉçÇø with over 27 years of experience in Higher Education and K-12 institutions.  She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University-Commerce in Counseling and Speech Communications, a Master’s degree from Texas A&M University-Commerce in Counseling Student Affairs, and a Doctorate in Educational Administration. She has also completed the Principal Certification Program at the University of Texas at Arlington and the Superintendent Certification Program at the University of Texas Permian Basin. 

Dr. Castillo’s educational career began at Texas A&M University-Commerce, where she served as the Coordinator of Peer Advising/Academic and Probation Advisor & Assistant Greek Advisor. She also served as an Admissions Advisor at Mountain View College. She then transitioned to the high school sector, teaching and coaching in Dallas and Arlington ISDs for 10 years.  In her six years as Assistant Principal in the Venus and Irving ISDs, she was selected as the Irving ISD High School Summer School Principal in 2014 and Irving ISD Middle School Summer School Principal in 2013. While at Irving ISD, she was invited to serve on the following district-level committees: Career and Technology Advisory Council, Grading Procedures Committee, Discipline Procedures Committee, Staff Development Council, Advanced Academics Council, and the School Of Law and Public Service Taskforce Committee as Leader.

The Cambrian Group trained Dr. Castillo as a Strategics© Certified Facilitator for Strategic Planning.  Her training has proven to be instrumental as the founding Principal of Tarrant County College South/ºÚ¶´ÉçÇø Collegiate High School during the planning and implementation of the district's third ECHS and in the transition to open the district's first PTECH school. Currently, she supports and supervises Career and Technical Education, Collegiate Programming, CCRSM Schools, Health and Physical Education, JROTC/JCC, & Visual and Performing Arts.

Lisa enjoys public and motivational speaking and being a sports enthusiast. She is married to Antonio Castillo, the Athletic Coordinator and Head Football Coach at Carrollton Creekview High School. Antonio and Lisa have lovely twin daughters, Amelia and Alisia, who enjoy dancing on their high school Drill Team and plan on attending Texas Tech University in the Fall of 2024.
